ASI BAC™ 3000

The BAC™ 3000 is a high power density motor controller that utilizes the latest in field oriented control to ensure smooth, quiet, brushless DC motor operation and efficient vehicle operation.

With current and thermal limiting of motor and control element sections, automotive quality Molex™ connectors, and a rugged highly ingress resistant case, the BAC™ 3000 is fully protected. BAC™ 3000 supports Hall Effect and resistive throttle/brake types. BAC™ 3000 has a ModBus interface over either RS-485 or RS-232 (standard and TTL) and can be used in either standalone or as a slave module in networked configurations.

The ModBus network provides access to status and diagnostic information such as controller status, battery voltage, motor currents and motor/controller temperatures to ensure safe vehicle operation. Additionally, fault codes reported via the status LED makes troubleshooting a breeze.

Programmable through an optional display or PC connection, the units can accommodate a wide variety of small electric vehicle configurations
